I picked it up after io9 called it one of their best reads of the year, and frankly I loved it. It's funny how you don't notice how ingrained gender is until you get your nose rubbed in it. Nov 12, 2013 - It's impossible to read Ancillary Justice without thinking of Iain M Banks (unless you're one of those unhappy people who's never read an Iain M Banks book) and that's a lot for a debut author to live up to.
